During the 2013 Tour de France, I decided to design a poster dedicated to the hardest man in the peloton. Then in his 16th year as a pro cyclist, Jens Voigt gave this comment after winning stage four of the Tour of California. These posters are limited-edition Riso A3 prints — 20 in total— all individually signed and numbered.

Pain is Temporary, this quote, uttered by Fabian Cancellara the night before he won the 2010 World Time Trial Championship, should help when the lactic acid is boiling. The poster was designed before the 2014 Tour of Flanders and combines the yellow of the Flanders flag with bold Swiss type, Switzerland being Cancellara’s home country. These limited-edition Riso A3 posters are a two-colour print — process yellow U and neutral black U. They are printed on 250 GSM 100 per cent recycled stock and all 20 are individually signed and numbered.
